In 1982, Givenchy held a 30-year retrospective herve leger Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. In 1988, because of financial reasons, Givenchy transfers the commercial to the Louis Vuitton (LVMH) Group. Bu he has served as the chief designer of France Givenchy Design Studio, until his retirement in 1995.In 1992, Givenchy held the 40-year retrospective show in the Palace of Versailles in Paris
In late of 1995, the British designer John Galliano takes place of Hubert de Givenchy as the chief designer of Givenchy Design Studio. Givenchy designed a series of his own luxurious design style in evening dress by adding the classic design of Givenchy; French fashion shows a new awareness of competition and innovation.
In October 1996, Galliano transferred to design studio ,Christian Dior the designer安Ferre Gianfranco of Ferro replace its position.
