  1000左右的。主要用来上网，看电影，偶尔会玩玩暗黑3游戏。希望运行速度快一点的，求他的要求一般。该咋配啊？求推荐。

That's a workstation. It uses ECC RAM. That Xeon in the computer is at end of life. This platform offers no upgrade pathway and expensive to maintain. Also, the PSU in it is not powerful to run the GTX 780Ti.

Hmmm how is a workstation more expensive to maintain? the server grade xeon cpu is designed to run 24/7, cooler and more power efficient than the standard consumer core i cpu. If anything, it will probably use less power. ECC ram is only <5% slower than non ECC ram. I don't see how that's going to affect gaming performance. The advantage of having ECC is that LZ could do more with his computer. He could run weeks long simulations without any worries. According to the HP Z400 spec sheet, the PSU can be either 475W or 600W (dunno which as the seller didn't specify). The whole point of picking a 3 years old workstation is cost reduction. The workstation is not meant to be upgradable. After 2 or 3 years, LZ could just get rid of the workstation cheaply and put his graphics card in a new computer. Since this workstation is quite old, its value won't depreciate as much as the setup you suggested.
