是的， 作废了。如果当时你人在境外，肯定不能续签，要重新申请，但如果当时你人在澳洲境内，根据你提交的材料，重新审评你的pr, 例如你有未成年孩子（澳籍）在澳洲读书或需要抚养，或者有稳定工作，或伴侣在澳洲生活（澳籍，永居，或有工作）， 你可以表明在澳洲继续生活的意向，会根据实际情况，给你一个一年或2年永居或者临时居住签证，如果在新签证期内，你满足住满澳洲，那么就会又重新给你一个 5年 永居了作者: candy_tang1123 时间: 14-6-2013 11:19

所有的PR持有者，都是5年内累计在澳洲居住满2年保留PR的。你也可以住满3年后申请入籍，拿了护照后，就可以一直在中国续中国工作签证就好了。
